Are we there yet movie1/27/2024 There is a lot of violence in this movie all done for laughs with no one getting seriously hurt, such as the following: Repeated exposure also increases the risks that children will become desensitised to the use of violence in real life or develop an exaggerated view about the prevalence and likelihood of violence in their own world. Repeated exposure to violent content can reinforce the message that violence is an acceptable means of conflict resolution. Research shows that children are at risk of learning that violence is an acceptable means of conflict resolution when violence is glamourised, performed by an attractive hero, successful, has few real life consequences, is set in a comic context and / or is mostly perpetrated by male characters with female victims, or by one race against another. The trip turns out to be eventful in many ways and Suzanne is left to wonder whether her children will ever arrive. As it happens, they are refused entry in to the airport and miss the train so Nick and the children decide to drive to Canada. However when he declares he’s too sick to take the children, Nick reluctantly agrees to go with them. Suzanne has to travel to Canada on business and has arranged for her former husband to bring the children. He does his best to impress Suzanne by pretending that he’s interested in Kevin and Lindsay, but they are definitely not going to make any attempt to like Nick. Nick is obsessed with his new four-wheel drive, loves gadgets and hates children. Nick works in a toy store across the road from Suzanne and is attracted by her beauty. Consequently, they desperately try to sabotage any attempts Suzanne makes to meet a new man. Single mum Suzanne is bringing up her two children Kevin and Lindsay who live in hope that she will get back together again with their father. material that may scare or disturb children. This review of the movie contains the following information: Researchers who focus on Children and the Media. eBook - Quality Play and Media in Childhood Education and Care.Working with your child and their Digital Privacy.Apps can track: privacy tips and checks.©Sony Pictures ARE WE DONE YET?, Ice Cube, Aleisha Allen, Philip Bolden, 2007. ©Sony Pictures ARE WE THERE YET?, Philip Bolden, Nia Long, Ice Cube, Aleisha Allen, 2005, (c) Columbia ARE WE DONE YET?, Nia Long, Aleisha Allen, Philip Bolden, Ice Cube, 2007. ©Sony Pictures ARE WE DONE YET?, Aleisha Allen, Ice Cube, 2007. ©Sony Pictures ARE WE THERE YET?, Aleisha Allen, Philip Bolden, 2005, (c) Columbia ARE WE DONE YET?, Aleisha Allen, Philip Bolden, 2007. ©Sony Pictures ARE WE DONE YET?, Aleisha Allen, Nia Long, Philip Bolden, Ice Cube, 2007. ©Sony Pictures ARE WE THERE YET?, Philip Daniel Bolden, Ice Cube, Aleisha Allen, 2005 (c) Columbia SCHOOL OF ROCK, James Hosey, Caitlin Hale, Maryam Hassan, Robert Tsai, Aleisha Allen, Jack Black, Joey Gaydos Jr., Kevin Clark, Veronica Afflerbach, Rebecca Brown, Miranda Cosgrove, 2003, (c) Paramount ARE WE DONE YET?, Philip Bolden, Aleisha Allen, 2007. ©Sony Pictures ARE WE THERE YET?, Philip Daniel Bolden, Ice Cube, Aleisha Allen, 2005 (c) Columbia ARE WE DONE YET?, Aleisha Allen, Ice Cube, Philip Bolden, Nia Long, 2007. ©Sony Pictures ARE WE DONE YET?, Nia Long, Ice Cube, Aleisha Allen, Philip Bolden, 2007. Logitech g430 gaming headset controller1/27/2024 Selecting the headset changes the icons on the bottom right. In this instance I have a Logitech gaming mouse as well as the G430 headset. Launching the Logitech Gaming Software, we are greeted with icons on the bottom left which denotes the devices attached. The last item that comes supplied with the headset is the USB adapter which is required for use with the Logitech Gaming Software and the surround sound feature. The cable also includes an in-line volume control and the ability to mute the microphone. Moving on from the rest of the headset, we have the braided audio cable which is fixed into place and cannot be detached. It is designed to make the headset comfortable the headband is filled with the same foam padding as the ear cups. The headband has the same blue foam padding. It also makes it easier to pack them in a bag as you can place them flat against a hard surface to prevent damage. That way you can lay the headset down flat on your desk when it is not in use. The headset ear cups fold flat for easier storage which is now common place with many gaming headsets. Keeping with the blue theme that Logitech are so fond of, here’s the headset. Let’s start off with a nice and close look of the G430 headset itself. Protecting the product as well as used to display it the clear plastic insert holds the headset in place. The card board section has the same branding that is displayed around the rest of the packaging. The clear plastic insert allows you to have a good close look at the headset itself. Let’s take a look at the right hand side of the packaging is made up of the plastic insert and the cardboard part of the packaging. The left hand side of the packaging has more information regarding the headset, including imagery and branding. All that information is listed in various languages. A brief synopsis on the product with numbered points and an image of the headset which points to what is listed. Looking at the back of the packaging has more in depth information on the headset itself. The other half of the packaging is a clear insert which displays the headset itself. The packaging of the G430 comprises of two parts, a cardboard section with the now common place X-ray image of the product on display as well as the Logitech logo and the product model. Having taken a look at the specifications let’s take a look at the packaging. Sensitivity: -40dBV/Pa re: 0dB = 1 Pa, 1KHz Type: Pressure Gradient Electret Condenser Microphone Pickup pattern: Cardioid (Unidirectional) Windows® 8, Windows® 7 or Windows Vista® operating systemħ.1 Surround sound requires software installation* Since those early days, we have expanded our expertise in product design beyond the computer mouse, with a broad portfolio of interface devices that are the “last inch” between you and your computer or your console game, digital music or home-entertainment system. We became the worldwide leader in computer mice, and have reinvented the mouse in dozens of ways to match the evolving needs of PC and laptop users. We started in 1981 with mice, which (new at the time) provided a more intuitive way of interacting with a personal computer. Let’s quickly look at the specifications and then the product itself.įocused on innovation and quality, Logitech designs personal peripherals to help people enjoy a better experience with the digital world. The headset covers all of the key areas but will the headset be able to produce a decent sound? How will the microphone sound over VoIP? Only testing will tell so it’s onwards and forwards with the review. The G430 combines 40mm drivers with a excellent cardioid microphone so I am expecting it to live up to the Logitech name. G series has been around for quite some time now and Logitech are always looking to expand this range. It’s an entry level headset which comes under the G series range. Today I am going to be taking a look at the Logitech G430 Surround Sound Gaming Heatset. Model: G430 Surround Sound Gaming Headset.

Vent line rv control panel1/27/2024 Every time I moved the lever, the housing would come out of the clip and the door would jam open. The housing clip on the door end was OK, but the lever end wouldn’t hold the housing. I used a short #10 stainless bolt and a nylon self locking nut. Since I broke the little clips that attach the cable to the vent door and the lever, (they were very brittle). In my final version, I didn’t use the Cable Clip or the CLAMP in the lever assembly This didn’t effect the length of the rod, but made the tube about 1 inch shorter. I used a couple small pieces of plastic tube and some heat shrink tubing to connect the two sections back together. I then cleaned and lubricated the rod and tube. I used a razor knife to remove the melted section from the middle of the housing tube (about 1 inch). This caused the tube to slide out of the cable clip on the lever, and then the vent door jammed open. On close inspection, I seen the cable housing (the tube that the cable goes through) had melted and was deformed, not allowing the cable to move freely inside the housing tube. On mine the lever was very stiff and hard to move. The way its supposed to work, when you move the lever to turn on the blower, the lever also pushes the vent cover open via the cable. The vent cable assembly runs from the front panel lever assembly to the exterior vent cover. I used the putty knife to wedge under the panel, and pried a little at each clip location to free the bottom of the panel. To remove the front panel, there are four clips on the top and bottom of the panel. To gain access to the lever and switch, the front panel needs to be removed, the filter and light cover need to be removed, and the fan blades need to be removed from the motor. and the exterior door was stuck in the open position. The lever on mine was very stiff and hard to move. The sliding exhaust lever does two things, It turns the blower on (two speeds) and at the same time opens/closes the exterior vent door via a short control cable. The new switches popped in and the water pump, light, and water heater switches now work like new. I was able to find the Momentary ON – OFF switch for the water pump, and two other switches (ON-OFF) that were hard to move. The local Camping World has a good selection of replacement switches. Alternate between the top and bottom of the switch and work it out slowly. Then push a little to release the clip on the switch and you pry the switch up and away from the panel. I used two small putty knives, wedge between the switch and the panel. The switches can be replaced without removing the front piece. The Ventline range hood had a couple problems ġ) The water pump switch (Momentary contact) was jammed and stuck ON.Ģ) The vent blower was very stiff, and the exterior exhaust door was stuck in the open position.

Chevy trax awd off roadinf1/27/2024 One port leads directly into a hydraulic circuit for one wheel when it’s opened, fluid flows out of it and into another hydraulic circuit for another wheel so that pressure builds up. The computer operates these valves through solenoid valves that are controlled by electrical signals from sensors on each wheel each solenoid valve has two ports that can be opened or closed by signals from the computer. The Trax AWD system’s control module uses sensors around each wheel to detect when there is slipping (understeer) at either end of the vehicle and sends commands to open and close valves in order to transfer torque from one axle to another as needed. That can help you maintain control in a corner or on slippery surfaces. But if you start to slip or skid, the system will direct more torque to the wheels with more grip. So when you’re driving on dry pavement, the Trax will send power to all four wheels equally. It uses a combination of Torque On Demand and electronic traction control to send torque to the wheels that need it. The Trax is an all-wheel-drive system, but it’s not full-time. The AWD model is also available with a six-speed manual or nine-speed automatic transmission. It comes with either a six-speed manual or nine-speed automatic transmission. The front-wheel drive models have a 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 155 horsepower and 125 pound-feet of torque. Does Chevy Trax have AWD?Ĭhevy Trax comes with two drivetrain options: front-wheel drive and an optional all-wheel drive. When one wheel slips on these surfaces, the other three wheels can still provide power while they try to regain traction with the ground.Īnd unlike RWD vehicles where there is no torque distribution between the rear wheels, both rear wheels receive power from an AWD system simultaneously so they can both help pull your car forward instead of spinning wildly out of control if one wheel loses traction. On slippery surfaces: Driving on wet or muddy roads can be treacherous for any driver but especially for those who don’t have AWD or 4WD capability. In bad weather: When driving in icy or snowy conditions, AWD allows you to accelerate and brake more effectively because both front and rear wheels are powered at all times (unlike front-wheel drive cars that have only front-wheel drive). This helps maintain traction and control over the road in nearly any weather condition.ĪWD can be used in several different ways, depending on what kind of driving conditions you’re expecting. All-wheel drive vehicles use a transfer case to send power to the front and rear axles separately, allowing each axle to turn at its own speed. AWD stands for all-wheel drive, and it means that your vehicle sends power to all 4 wheels.

Winston salem restaurants1/26/2024 With Southern food and a long list of whiskeys, Earl’s creates an atmosphere straight out of Nashville. We love the fried green tomato BLT sandwich and the hickory-smoked ribs, in particular, but it’s hard to go wrong with any dish here. The names of the producers are even featured on blackboards by the open kitchen, right above a selection of paintings from local artists.įriendly service and excellent food make Willow’s one of our favorite places to eat in Winston-Salem. The restaurant focuses on ingredients from local farms and companies to create a farm-to-table experience. In a 100-year-old former railway freight warehouse, Willow’s Bistro serves elevated comfort food in a welcoming environment. Try the okra, fried green tomatoes, and Slap Yo’ Mamma Ribs for some truly good eats. Its popular Southern cuisine not only celebrates North Carolina’s state vegetable-you can’t go without trying the sweet potato pie-but incorporates Soul Food influences and special touches from chef Stephanie Tyson. A stick-to-your-ribs kind of meal! Sweet Potatoesįor nearly 20 years, Sweet Potatoes has been a mainstay of downtown Winston Salem. Instead, it’s chopped, coarsely chopped, or sliced and often served with BBQ slaw. Don’t expect to find pulled pork here, though. We love Real Q, which serves pit-cooked Lexington-style BBQ done in the traditional way-low and slow to get just the right amount of flavor. North Carolina is a barbecue destination, so don’t skip on trying this classic. The biscuit sandwiches are always a hit, especially Krankie’s Classic with fried chicken, Texas Pete hot sauce, and honey. The hangout evolved from a coffee roaster and coffee shop to a full-service breakfast and lunch spot. One of Krankie’s great breakfast sandwichesĬoffee roastery, art space, community hub, and maker of the best biscuits around-that’s Krankie’s. Grab a bottle of wine and some fried pickles and stay for a while. The meatloaf with Havarti and tomato marmalade is a particular treat. It didn’t take long to figure out why.įrom impeccable shrimp and grits to the famous tomato pie with succotash, Mozelle’s delivers consistently delicious and unexpected takes on classics. On my first trip to Winston-Salem, it was the one restaurant I was told I absolutely had to visit. Mozelle’s Fresh Southern Bistroįresh, local ingredients and lots of Southern influence and hospitality have made Mozelle’s a go-to in the West End neighborhood for over a decade. Service starts at breakfast and continues through night caps, so there’s no reason not to visit. The space is open and intimate at the same time with a seasonal patio and fun bar. This is particularly fitting since it is located in the Kimpton Cardinal Hotel, which was previously the RJ Reynolds building. The brasserie is named after Katharine Reynolds, the matriarch of the famous Reynolds family. That means that the exquisite menu features everything from mussels and beef tartare to North Carolina trout and duck breast with turnip greens. The Katharine is a French brasserie with a Southern flare.

Running gpo in windows gpodder1/26/2024 This should be pretty easy to google and find. If I’m being overly descriptive, it’s because I’ve made all of the mistakes I’m trying to prevent at one time or another.ġ) Download the Android SDK. For the sake of this being a guide for people even less experienced than me, this also assumes that you don’t know some relatively basic things. If you haven’t gotten stuff outside the Market before, use the phone’s web browser to go to that address, save the file, then drag down the dock and tap on the “download complete” message to install it.Ģ) Install Python 2.6: Python For Android available from the link on the right side of the SL4A page on googlecode.ģ) Go to Settings - Applications - Development, and make sure USB Debugging is checked.Ĥ) If it wasn't already, connect the phone to the computer via USB. You can get it from - I don’t think it’s available through the market. I’m sending users to gedit rather than vi, because the GUI is more familiar, comfortable, and meaningful to n00bs.ġ) Install Android Scripting: SL4A. In the meantime, I think this is a good project for someone just starting with Ubuntu and / or Android who is looking to gain a tiny bit of familiarity and comfort with how and when to use the command line, and taking the first tentative steps toward the kind of understanding that will help you to eventually write useful programs. Or if anyone reads this and wants to do that please do. Since the result is a command-line only program on your phone, it’s worth re-writing these instructions in a shorter form for the intermediate user at some point. What I’d like to do here is make this stuff easy to understand to the absolute n00b, because I found it fairly hard, and I’m at least used to the command line. Since I don’t yet know whether this version is capable of syncing with, the only definite advantage this podcatcher has over the popular android podcatchers is that it is Free Software (capitol F for free as in freedom, but this also happens to be free as in free beer). There are instructions out there ( here specifically) for getting gPodder running on an Android phone.Īt this point, what you get is a command-line version.

Diy solar panels1/26/2024 Once you start researching individual products, though, you'll probably want a little more specific information. This guide is meant to be very broad, so that you know what to keep in mind and what to plan for. Throughout the guide, I'll be providing links to articles from 's learning center. You'll also support a growing industry, and in doing so, help contribute to the worldwide adoption of this wonderful new energy source. Adding solar energy to your house is an excellent project for several reasons: You'll save loads on electricity, and may even be able to sell some of yours back to the utility company you'll reduce your carbon footprint and if you're installing in a remote location (such as a cabin), you'll have much less to worry about than you would with a gasoline generator. Government financial incentives are still ripe for the picking, the cost of photovoltaic (PV) cells is falling every day, and you'll probably be the first person on your block to make the jump. If you've been thinking about going solar, there's no better time than now to do it. At the end of the day, you'll know what to look for and what to keep in mind with any solar project. We'll review the parts of a solar panel system, the things you need to consider when you're planning, and how you can save money on (and even get free money for) your project. With this Instructable, I hope to demystify the (not-really) intimidating process of installing solar panels in your home. This way, you can offset your electricity usage at night or during cloudy days and lower your electric bills even more.Maybe you've considered solar energy - even if only for a brief moment - only to dismiss it as too complicated and too expensive, or maybe you're seriously considering a project, but don't know where to start. Net metering: Solar panels can generate more electricity than you need during the day, and you can sell the excess power back to the grid for credits or cash. By going solar, you can conserve water and protect water resources. Water conservation: Solar panels do not require water to generate electricity, unlike some conventional power plants that use water for cooling or steam. Higher home value: Solar panels can increase the value of your home by making it more attractive to potential buyers who want to save on energy bills and support clean energy. By going solar, you can reduce your impact on climate change and air pollution. Lower carbon footprint: Solar panels do not emit greenhouse gases or deplete natural resources, unlike fossil fuels. Lower electric bills: Solar panels can reduce or eliminate your dependence on grid electricity and save you money on your energy costs. Some of the features and benefits of solar energy are: Solar energy is captured by solar panels and converted into electricity that can power homes or businesses. Solar energy is a renewable and sustainable alternative to fossil fuels that can provide many benefits for homeowners and the environment. If you're looking for a way to save money, reduce your carbon footprint, and go solar, a DIY solar kit from Blue Pacific Solar is the perfect solution for you.
